Please welcome the new Library Director, Steve Arozena to his new position and a return to California. He grew up in Carpinteria and attended UC Santa Barbara where he received his B. A. in History. He then was awarded a Master’s in Library Science from San Jose State University before taking professional positions as a librarian at the Huntington Library, Pasadena Public Library, the Cline Library at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, the Tacoma Public Library and the Grapevine (TX) Public Library. He is also the author of Best Books for Public Libraries and finished his second Master’s degree this summer with a Master’s of Humanities in Fine Arts and Media from Tiffin (OH) University.
He is happily married with a three-year old son and enjoys reading, films, travel and food. Stop by and introduce yourself as he enjoys meeting library users!
